1. Free McConnell's Ice Cream
Since 1949, McConnell's Ice Cream has been churning the finest of frozen treats along the Central Coast.
Made in the Old Dairy, ice cream is made from scratch for grass-grazed cows. They work with farms, ranches, orchards and purveyors to include fresh jams and preserves, caramels and chocolates, organic fruit and nuts, and cold brewed coffee.
The ice cream never has stabilizers, preservatives, fillers or additives, gums, starches, or syrups.
Michael Palmer and his family purchased McConnell's Ice Cream in 2011 with the goal of expanding to Los Angeles.
They have kept the tradition of using only the finest ingredients, while expanding the flavors to cater to the sophisticated foodie palate in California.
I am happy to report that McConnell’s iconic ice cream is excitedly coming to Los Angeles by opening a store in the historic Grand Central Market on July 31, 2014.
Get a free scoop of creamy ice cream while visiting the epicenter of food and culture at the Grand Central Market on July 31, 2014 between 6 to 9 p.m.
The store will be open daily scooping ice cream and treats that are unique to Los Angeles and Southern California.

This sweet treat features Bailey's infused vanilla ice cream, the treat is topped with Frangelico, Chambord, and toasted hazelnuts ($15).
For a true dining experience, liquid nitrogen is poured in a fire engine red hand-cranked Kitchen Aid and mixed with milk, cream, vanilla, and sugar to form a frothy vanilla ice cream.
In addition to the alcoholic offering for the month, guests can also opt for a non-alcoholic vanilla version, which is served alongside an assortment of toppings such as Nutella, salted caramel, and macerated strawberries.
